Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is a very specialized form of manual therapy. A therapist trained in
NMT is educated in the physiology of the nervous system and its effect on the muscular and skeletal
systems. By definition, NMT is the utilization of static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve
pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue)
to balance the central nervous system. NMT will be used to address five elements that cause pain:
1. Ischemia: lack of blood supply to soft tissues which causes hypersensitivity to touch
2. Trigger points: highly irritated points in muscles which refer pain to other parts
of the body.
3. Nerve Compression or Entrapment: Pressure on a nerve by soft tissue, cartilage or bone
4. Postural Distortion: Imbalance of the muscular system resulting from the movement
of the body off the longitudinal and horizontal planes
Biomechanical Dysfunction: Imbalance of the musculoskeletal system resulting in faulty movement

Long fluid strokes are utilized to increase circulation and promote overall
relaxation. This massage relaxes the body, soothes the mind, and calms the spirit.
Reflexology : $45
Reflexology is a therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet and hands. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of the discomfort. In the absence of any particular malady or abnormality, reflexology may be as effective for promoting good health and for preventing illness as it may be for relieving symptoms of stress, injuries, and illness. This 30 minute session also includes a
sea salt foot soak.
Ayurvedic Treatment : $125
Based on a 5,000 year old healing system, this Ayurvedic inspired treatment uses steam inhalation
with essential oils, Neti-pot w/sea salt solution (that is yours to keep), ear candling, hot pack, and
Ayurvedic massage w/special blend of Abhy oil formulated just for your body type. This session will
end with a cup of warm herbal dosha tea to complete the overall balancing effect of this treatment.
