Keys to Winter Driving

What to do and how to prepare for heading out in bad weather.

Make it to your destination all winter long with these helpful hints provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

1. Even before winter weather hits, make sure your vehicle is in proper working order.
2.Drive according to the conditions of the road you are on.
3. Be mindful of bridges, curves in the road and intersections where ice tends to accumulate.
4. Increase the distance between you and the other vehicles by double or triple to allow extra stopping distance.
5. Be patient not only with the other drivers, but with yourself.

Theses are only a few tips on what to do in bad weather no matter where you area at or where you are going.

For more information on Missouri Road conditions you can call
